16N/17D WESTERN, CENTRAL & EASTERN ARUNACHAL
Day 1 : Guwahati-Bhalukpong / 5 Hrs
Meet and greet on arrival at Guwahati Airport and Proceed
towards Bhalukpong (260 km). Bhalukpong is located by the
scenic Kameng River. Bhalukpong, which falls
in West Kameng District is 56 km from Tezpur. Bhalukpong, at a height of
700 ft above sea level, is a little town on the Kameng River and lies
along the dense forests that form the border of the
Pakhui
Wildlife Sanctuary
. Bhalukpong is a mesmerizing place for
wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. Scenic beauty, high waterfalls,
and the banks of river Kameng surrounded by evergreen forests are a
photographer’s delight.
Day 2 : Bhalukpong to Dirang / 3.5 Hrs
After breakfast, check out of the Hotel & transfer to Dirang. Then,
visit Shangti Valley, this valley is famous for Black
Named cranes that come in October and fly back in May. Considered to be
the best valley in Eastern Himalayan Zone.
Day 3 : Dirang -Tawang / 4 Hrs
Drive to Tawang crossing Sela Pass (13720 ft.) which runs through a
small ridge and along the Paradise lake. Stop to enjoy
the Sella Pass and Paradise Lake. From the Sela pass
road winds down to Jong Village. On the way to Jong
visit YashwantGarh War Memorial. After lunch at Jong
Village starts for Tawang. On the way, visit
Nuranang

Day 4 : Tawang – Bumla – Tawang
Enjoy a full-day excursion to visit the
PT Tso Lake, Bumla
Pass, and Sangetsar Lake.
Sangestser is popularly known as
(Madhuri Lake) which was named after the Legendary Bollywood star
Madhuri Dixit, located 35 km from Tawang near China border. The drive
for Sangetsar Lake is full of thrill and one can still see the war
bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962 and the
beautiful lake. Drive back to Tawang.
Day 5 : Tawang Local
Sightseeing in and around Tawang City. Visit the
famous Tawang Monastery, which is 400 years old, accommodates over 500
monks, and houses priceless Buddhist texts and scriptures. The Tibetan
influence here is unmistakable, with the elaborately painted wooden
windows and other motifs. An 8 mt high gilded statue of the Buddha is
seated here, as are numerous ancient Thankas or Traditional paintings
and manuscripts. Also visit the Craft Centre,
and Tawang War Memorial (Light & Music Show).
Evening free time.
Day 6 : Tawang - Bomdila / 5 Hrs
Drive to Bomdila (8,000 ft. appx). Bomdila is situated at an altitude of
over 8500 feet in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh in India.
Hooked amongst the mighty mountainous ranges of Himalaya, Bomdila is the
headquarters of the West Kameng district of the state
of Arunachal Pradesh and offers a panoramic view of the awesome
mountains.
Day 7: Bomdila– Tezpur / 5 Hrs
After early breakfast, drive toward the foothills
of Arunachal Pradesh and reach the plains of Assam and onwards.
Day 8 : Tezpur – Ziro / 5 Hrs
Drive to Ziro valley is a popular tourist destination in the central
part of Arunachal Pradesh. Ziro is famous for its natural beauty and
Hills. Road to Ziro through the mountains.
Day 9 : Ziro Village Tour
After breakfast, we will set out to explore the beautiful landscapes and
tribes of Ziro. The Apatinis are non-nomadic tribes.
They are all settled in and around Ziro valley. The
prime livelihood of this tribe is cultivation in wet lands. This tribe
is very different from the other tribes of Arunachal. They also used to
practice a culture of facial tattoos. We will interact with the local
people, listen to their stories, and learn a thing or two about their
cultures. The stay will be at the same hotel in Ziro.
Day 10: Ziro to NorthLakhimpur / 4 Hrs
Post breakfast, drive to North Lakhimpur for a
night halt.
Day 11: N/ Lakhimpur to Aalo (147 KM / 5 Hrs)
After breakfast, we will move towards Aalo (aka
Along). Aalo or Along is situated on the bank of
Siang
River
at an altitude of 1020 ft. It is a beautiful valley with
picturesque landscapes. Aalo is the land of the Galo and Adi tribe. The
Adi tribe is the most inhabited tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.
Day 12: Aalo to Mechuka (186 KM / 7 Hrs)
It will be a long day drive to
reach Menchukha which will be your top most priority
destination of the trip. Drive will take around 6 to 7 hours. On the mid
way you will experience Some of Bori and Boker tribes villages
Surrounded by the beautiful Scenic nature of earth with lots of
waterfalls and enter into Mechuka valley. Experiencee
a time with menba tribe culture.
Day 13: Full day Sightseeing in Mechuka
After breakfast
visiting The Gurdwara and Taposthan
It is said, 400 years ago when Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji
was on his way to Tibet through Mechuka, he meditated on these two
spots, one-is known as Gurdwara which is taken care of and managed by
Indian army and the other is called Taposthan which has an interesting
story. It is believed that while Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his disciples
were meditating, a wild bear attacked them. A boulder was lifted to save
Guru Nanak and today the impression of Guru Nanak’s face can be seen on
the huge boulder.
After drive to visit Samsen Monastery
Built in the 14th century, the SamsenYongcha monastery is older than
the revered Tawang Monastery. Located on a hilltop at the village’s
western edge, this ancient monastery has beautiful statues of Guru
Padmasambhava and fascinating masks of mythological figures that are
used during the Chaam dances (a lively masked and costumed dance
associated with some Tibetan Buddhist festivals).
In the early afternoon get yourself to A mesmerising canvas of
verdant woods, wildflower-sprinkled meadows and endearing little wooden
houses, Mechuka Valley’s scenic camaraderie with nature is sure to leave
you yearning for more. Take long nature walks through the peaceful
countryside, wander off in the woods by yourself and get lost in the
charm of this surreal valley.
Day 14: Mechuka to Aalo
This will be a day-long journey so everyone should have to get
ready early in the morning. After early breakfast we will start our
journey towards Aalo.
Day 15: Aalo to Pasighat / 3 Hrs +-
After breakfast, we will move towards Pasighat. It is located at a
distance of 145 Kms from Along on the bank of
river
Siang
. It is the land of two famous tribes Passi and
Minnyiong.
Day 16: Pasighat Sightseeing
After breakfast, Proceed for the local sightseeing like Pangin,
Komsing, KekarMonying, DibruSaikhowa National Park, and the Siang
River.
Day 17: Pasighat to Dibrugarh Drop / 3 HrsApprox
After breakfast, drive for Dibrugarh After spending more than a week
amidst the serene hills, we will be in the plains of Assam. After
reaching Dibrugarh, we will take you to the airport to drop you off with
the sweet memories of northeast India.
